April 2016

Let's just get this out of the way...the main event of April was the big 4-0. Even though I still don't like the sound of "forty", it was not that bad.

My main gift was a girls' trip to Austin with Jennifer. We drove and made a stop along the way to Waco to see the Magnolia Market.

Our final destination was Travaasa Resort just outside of Austin. It was amazing! I would best describe it as a luxury summer camp for grown-ups. Pool, spa, great dinning, but also a ropes course, hiking, archery and more.

One of my other birthday presents was this Niloak pottery vase that I love! Unless you are from Saline County, you probably didn't spend any time in the Gann Museum learning about "kaolin" spelled backwards or the value of bauxite ore.

Nate ran track this year for the first time. Even though they don't have a track, a field, or any equipment, these kids did a good job taking on a new sport.

Spring also brought another season of soccer. The girls team was The Dynasty.

Nate aged out of Upward, so he (with help from Dad and friend Justin) coached a co-ed kindergarten team. They were so entertaining to watch!

And a couple of "between the dot" moments:

Showing Papa how to use a Mac :)
